Where you only identify Bombardier Desjardins as your son I will have to assume judging by the amount of pride put into this website you are his mom. I was in Pakistan with your son however only got to see and speak with him on his way in and out of Pakistan. I would like to let you know he is a great example of a fine Canadian, in or out of uniform. Philip was a polite, confident and intelligent soldier who helped with the greater good of that mission. I am one of the full time personnel at DART and you never know who is going to go with you when the word come down you will go. People like your son make the job seem a little less complicated. He may or may not remember the Sergeant Traffic tech in Islamabad but you can say hi from Andy if you get a chance.
